Paper Presentation aims at bringing out the Innovation and Advancements in the Civil Engineering. Participants need to attach a Case Study / Research Analysis to support their Innovations and Findings.

    2.Competition is open to all UG and PG candidates.

2.POSTER PRESENTATION:

The objective of this event is to Create a thematic Art depicting Civil Engineering Technologies on a piece of Paper. Start your mind with Colour Kudos, Calligraphy, Colorful Pictures, Diagrams in the most Attractive way as you can to explain your Topic Selection.

RULES:

1. The Poster may be of any Civil Engineering relevant Topics.

2. Maximum TWO ARTISTS per Poster.

4.CUBE CONTEST:

RULES:

1.Maximum Two participants per team.

2.participants must bring their cubes of size 15x15x15 cm.

3.No restrictions on materials and grades ( Preferentially high strength)

4.A CODE willbe published on the Website which must be inscribed over the cube during casting, unless cubesw will not be considered.

5.Code to be INSCRIBED on cube will be published on 24th Feb.

6.Surface of the cubes should be free from undulations.

7.Judgment will be based on strngth to weight ratio.

The objective of Model making is to make an Aesthetic Model which can safely Transfer a maximum applied load without Failure.

8.FLOATING CONCRETE: 

Everyone is inspired by the elegance of Ferrocement. The objective of this event is to make a model of a boat using cement that can not only float in water without leaking but also carry some load without sinking.

Rules

1. Size should not exceed 40 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm.

2. Models using any Floating materials like wood,thermocol,etc. will be DISQUALIFIED.

3. Model should not be coated with chemicals like distemper, paints, etc.

4. Model will be tested (loaded) by adding lead shots while it is floating in water.

5. Participants must submit their model along with their names and college name on it before 10:00 AM on 4th March 2014.

6. Points will be based on the following Judgement criteria 

      • 1. Volume to Weight Ratio.
      • 2. Load carrying Capacity in water.
      • 3. Leakage and Aesthetic Criteria.

7. Judge’s decision will be final.
